STEM Freshmen Project

Thank you for your interest in the Freshman Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Project!

Freshman STEM Project ended a successful year Spring 2016!

The Freshman STEM Project will only accept 100 STEM-interested freshmen students to get customize support that helps them excel in their first year of college. You have a chance to be part of a program focused on combining academic coaching, advising, mentoring and STEM field exploration opportunities. This integration will save time and improve the services provided by focusing them on you. Selected participants will meet with a STEM academic coach and a STEM professional for mentoring. The expected outcomes for students are:

  1. Participants will gain the skills needed to effectively navigate a STEM college degree.
  2. Participants will benefit from the experience and network of a mentoring relationship with a STEM professional.

  • Real world STEM experiences and field trips.
  • Success coaching in preparation for challenging STEM coursework.
  • Specialized advising to help reduce your time to graduation.
